Alec came to install a new boiler and redo all the pipework in my garage after a fire we had, he was prompt, professional, courteous and informative with the process. He showed up when he said he would and is very prompt responding to calls and messages. I've had numerous other workmen here and they have all complimented the quality of his work, which speaks volumes.

I've waited some time to find a Heating Engineer like Alec who understood our requirements and didn't immediately want to rush in a Combi Boiler as a Fix-all....He was at pains to make sure all requirements could be met and we agreed to go ahead with a Priority Hot Water system on a System Boiler. This allows quick heating of the Water Cylinder, and then reverts to a Weather Compensated Flow temperature for the Central Heating. This allows the boiler to run at different outputs to maximise efficiency by allowing lower flow temperatures for longer - Enjoyed the interaction, Thoroughly recommended - Thanks again!

I am annoyed, really annoyed, where is my sixth star! 5 just isn't enough for Alec. If ever there was an artisan of the Gas heating world its Alec.
As you can probably guess I cant recommend Alec enough. Its always a moment of trepidation when you commission a new trades person to work on your home, unsure of how things will turn out. I am extremely impressed with Alec's approach and commitment.
He took the time to understand our needs, the problems we had with our current system, and how we managed the heat and water in our home. Consequently rather than just replace like with like, we have a system that is more appropriate to our house.
The installation work was meticulous, and done with care and thought. Alec explained all the way through what we he was doing and why. The pipework was done to such a high standard, that I have joked with Alec that I need to put it in a glass case as an art exhibit.
We have a cloud controlled heating system, which Alec even went to the extremes of contracting the manufacturer to ensure that his installation would be compatible with it.
Its no fun when your boiler goes in the middle of winter, to find someone with the level of commitment and care to come to your rescue, is a genuine joy. I can easily, personally recommend Calderbank heating as my first choice, from here on in when it comes to heating.
